Our Fantastic Favorites: Redwall

Picking a favorite fantasy novel is liking picking a favorite child (or since I don't have children, a favorite computing device). Long long ago I remember reading my very first non-picture book, The Mouse and the Motorcycle, and I became enamored with books with mice as main characters (or rabbits in the case of  Watership Down and Rabbits Rafferty). Shortly thereafter, my mother began to read Redwall to my
siblings and me, and we were transported to Mossflower every night before bed. While I have now managed to move onto books with main characters that are not talking animals, Redwall will always hold a special place on the shelf.
